P.B.S. ENVIROMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

We believe that respect for the environment is not just something to talk about, it is the right thing to do. Quality of life for everyone depends on meeting human needs without destroying the environment upon which life depends.  Consequently, as well as being committed to developing sustainable business practices ourselves, we also look to our suppliers and manufacturers to do the same.  We will only distribute products where we are certain that the manufacturers will at least comply with any relevant environmental requirements, and if possible, be better than that.

 This includes :-

• To use materials, components and designs to minimise the environmental effects of products both during their usage and also their disposal.
• Where possible, to use recycled materials, and ensure that products are recyclable.
•  Pursue prevention of pollution and elimination of waste
•  Promote environmental knowledge and awareness.
•  Where wood based products are used, then the Forestry Stewardship Councils Chain of Custody should be followed.

As a company, we also promote products which enable our clients to minimise their own impact on the environment, An example of this is our low cost web based conferencing software, which allows our clients to cut down significantly on business travel.

Another would be our E-Copy solution, which allows our clients to speedily effortlessly and securely e-mail large encrypted documents, with an audit trail, and thus keep courier activity to a minimum.

 We are also very concerned with the impact of our own office on the environment. Our waste paper is sent for recycling. Where we cannot send our waste material, packaging etc, back to source then it is segregated, to make recycling more efficient. Use of energy is a concern for us, and we have a strict policy of switching off things that are not used, and of fitting timer switches to electrical appliances in little used areas.

 And finally, we keep a binder with all our suppliers' Environmental Policies, which anyone is welcome to view.
